Good or bad survey results, government still committed to public service July 10, 2014

The government will continue to provide the people better service, regardless of the results of performance satisfaction ratings, a Palace official said on Wednesday.

“We note the survey results and as always, whether they are good or bad for us, we will always strive to better our performance in ensuring that better services are provided to our countrymen,” Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda told reporters during the daily press briefing.
The SWS, a social research institution, classifies net satisfaction ratings of +70 and above as “excellent”; +50 to +69, “very good”; +30 to +49, “good”; +10 to +29, “moderate”; +9 to -9, “neutral”; -10 to -29, “poor”; -30 to -49, “bad”; -50 to -69, “very bad”; and -70 and below, “execrable.”
The survey however noted that despite the decrease, the Aquino government’s performance scores are still higher than the scores of all past administrations.

The present administration’s highest rating was recorded at +66 in June 2013, compared to the highest for a previous government, a “good” +36 in November 1998 during the term of then president Joseph E. Estrada.
