DILG Chief to PNP: Be real life Cardo Dalisay
Referring to the top-rating
TV show "Ang Probinsyano", Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento told the
Philippine National Police to show the public that they are the real
Cardo Dalisay.
"Suklian natin ang pagpapahalaga nila sa atin sa pamamagitan ng pagpaparamdam sa kanila na kakampi nila tayo. Ipakita natin na tayo ang mga Cardo Dalisay sa totoong buhay. Mga naka-unipormeng tapat sa tungkulin", Sarmiento said during the 25th Founding Anniversary of the PNP at Camp Crame.
Sarmiento shared how the country's police force has evolved throughout the years and how the public now reveres the uniform.
"From being feared of being combatants, the police now are viewed as nation-builders. With climate change, the PNP are even the first responders who risk their lives to help others", Sarmiento added.
The Secretary also stressed the continued support of the Aquino administration in modernizing the PNP.
