National MSMED Council thanks Duterte for signing RA 11032

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga, July 13 (PIA) -- National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (MSED) Council thanked President Rodrigo R. Duterte for signing Republic Act 11032 otherwise known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

“This proves your sincerity to address the problems not only of businesses, but also of ordinary Filipinos who are small and powerless and who often need to go to various government offices just to secure permits and other applications they need,” Trade and Industry Secretary and National MSMED Council Chair Ramon Lopez said during the National MSME Summit 2018.

He said they are working on its Implementing Rules and Regulation which will soon be issued to facilitate the lives of all Filipinos who transact or apply for permits at all government offices.

Lopez also thanked the President for signing Executive Order No. 50, which approved the implementation of the MSME Development Plan 2017-2022.

“The council and our partners from the private sector and academe collaborated to outline the MSME Development Plan which defines the direction of our policies and programs to really help small businesses,” he said.

Specifically, he cited their initiatives to help small businesses in various ways including design, knowledge, seminars, product development, financing, equipment and other services need to develop businesses. (CLJD/MJLS-PIA 3)
