PBBM ensuring proper implementation of 2025 budget — ES Bersamin
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is earnest in ensuring the proper implementation of the 2025 national budget, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin assured on Friday.
“The President is really in earnest in seeing the proper implementation of the budget—the surviving parts of the budget,” Bersamin told a press conference following the DBM Budget Forum on Budget Execution for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
Bersamin emphasized the forum would allow the Executive Branch to discuss the requisites for budget execution.
The government is now working under the approved PhP6.326 trillion 2025 national budget after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. vetoed over PhP194 billion worth of projects inconsistent with the administration’s program priorities.
Meanwhile, President Marcos continues to lead meetings to review the 2025 budget and identify gaps on the appropriations of offices within the executive branch. | PND
