Palace attributes PBBM’s ratings boost to effective messaging, keeping the public well-informed and engaged
Malacañang on Friday welcomed the latest OCTA Research survey results showing increased trust and performance ratings for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., attributing the rise to the administration’s enhanced communication strategy that keeps the public well-informed and engaged.
In a Palace press briefing, Presidential Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the government’s strengthened public messaging has allowed more Filipinos to witness the President’s leadership and unwavering dedication to serve the public, instilling a sense of reassurance and confidence.
“Mas nakikita ngayon ng mga kababayan natin kung saan nagpupunta ang Pangulo,” Castro said.
“Kasi noon po ay hindi ito masyadong naipapakita marahil ng Pangulo dahil siya po ay trabaho lang nang trabaho. Hindi siya masyadong particular kung nakikita ba ito ng taumbayan,” Castro added.
Castro also acknowledged President Marcos’ hard work and commitment to public service as key drivers of his improved ratings.
“Nakakatuwa at nakikita na po nila kung gaano po kasipag ang Pangulo para sa taumbayan at para sa bayan,” Castro said.
Castro stressed that while President Marcos does not dwell on survey numbers, the upward trend is nonetheless appreciated by the Palace as a reflection of public recognition.
The OCTA Research “Tugon ng Masa” survey, conducted from July 12 to 17, showed a four-point increase in the President’s trust rating, from 60 percent to 64 percent.
It also registered a three-point increase to 62 percent in the President’s performance rating.
OCTA said President Marcos recorded the highest trust and performance ratings among top government officials for the second quarter of 2025.
The survey was based on face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adult respondents nationwide and has a plus/minus three percent margin of error. | PND
