The President’s Day: February 25, 2016
From 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., President Benigno S. Aquino III attended to various EDSA anniversary activities. To open the celebrations, the President led a flag-raising ceremony, witnessed the presentation of the Spirit of EDSA Foundation Awards, and delivered a speech. The commemoration was held at the EDSA People Power Monument, located on the corner of White Plains Avenue and EDSA in Quezon City.
Later in the day, he visited the People Power Experiential Museum in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The museum helps visitors experience critical moments in recent history, such as the fear and oppression that was rampant during the Martial Law era, the struggle to reclaim democracy, and the four miraculous days of People Power. The exhibit ras through February 25 to 26, 2016, in Camp Aguinaldo.

In his #EDSA30 his speech, the President reiterated the contrast between the horrors the Marcos dictatorship upon the Filipino people—and the gains following a democracy regained through peaceful revolt: "Lumaki kayong tumatamasa ng mga kalayaang ipinagkait sa henerasyong nauna, kung kailan kapag pumalo ka ng 30 taong gulang habang pumapalag sa diktadurya, mapalad ka nang buhay ka pa.
