PNP top officials underwent Seminar Workshop on Communication Management yesterday (October 20) in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The said activity was spearheaded by the officials of PNP-DPCR led by Police Director Danilo Constantino with the support of guest lecturers from the leading experts in public relations and corporate communications.
Emphasis were on the strict implementation of promoting consistency and credibility of public pronouncements by enhancing competencies of every office commanders and their public information officers in the proper engagement and sharing of information to the media.
Training was aimed to provide Chiefs of office commanders and PIOs adequate communication skills to make them competent in interacting with the media and for them to be ready and accessible if needed.
Part of the topics discussed to the more or less fifty (50) participants from different NCRPO Police Districts and the Directors of National Support Units were the effective communications management, managing media appearance and the right execution or dissemination of information and facts to the media as well as the proper way to interact with them especially in crime situations.(PNP-PIO)
