PBBM on higher approval rating: We will work even harder for the people
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. vowed to work even harder to uplift the lives of the Filipino people.
He also said that the Filipino people are beginning to see the wisdom of the reforms his administration are undertaking to ensure their welfare.
In his Kapihan with the Media on the sidelines of his three-day state visit to Czech Republic, President Marcos said he is glad to hear the good news on the improvement of his public trust and approval ratings in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Marcos, however, clarified that he does not create policies based on survey results. He said the people are starting to feel the actual effects of the structural and fundamental changes of his administration.
“Such structural changes take time to trickle down, and for people to feel the actual effects of what we are doing, and I’m just happy that we are beginning to get to that point where people are seeing the wisdom of some of the measures that we’ve undertaken, the policy changes that we’ve made, the legislations that we have requested from the Congress,” President Marcos said.
“So, I think I’m hoping that that’s what it means. So good, then we will keep going and work even harder than what we have been before,” the chief executive added, referring to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted last December 8 to 11, 2023.
The SWS survey showed 65 percent of adult Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of President Marcos.
Results of the December 10 to 14, 2023 “Tugon ng Masa” survey of the OCTA Research Group also showed President Marcos scored a 76 percent trust rating and a 71 percent approval rating, which is higher than the 73 percent and 65 percent trust and approval ratings, respectively in October 2023. PND
